"Welcome to Cookridge Camera Club's Web Site.
Cookridge Camera Club is a section of the
Cookridge Village Association which is based in the village hall, in Cookridge, on the outskirts of North Leeds.
Our camera club has been in existence for some 40/50 years.
In the past the club had its own darkroom on the premises for the production of Prints.
Competitions for Prints and 35mm Slides were keenly fought in Trophy and other competitions.
Today these competitions are still fought with much keenness.
Winning competition entries are added to this site throughout the year as the events take place.
The club makes full use of its laptop and digital projector showing digital projected images for several of our competitions.
On some Competition Nights both a Projected Image competition (which include slides as well as digital images) and a Print competition using the same title are held. Both media are well supported.
Our Members with photographic qualifications and our experienced members are always willing to help new members.
We welcome new members whom we are sure will enjoy our programme of Talk/Lecture evenings and the many competitions that we hold - some with a visiting judge, others decided by members votes.
We will be including instructional lectures in future programmes to cover aspects of digital photography which will be of particular interest to our new members who are using digital cameras.
Explore our web site - find an evening with a programme that you feel will interest you - come and visit us - you will be made very welcome."
